The South Island Conservative Breakfast event is Friday, September 24, 2010

Speaker: Charles Lammam, Fraser Institute

Topic: "Myths and Realities of BC's HST"

Charles Lammam is a Policy Analyst in the Fiscal Studies Department. He is a regular contributor to Fraser Forum, the Institute's policy magazine, and frequently writes commentaries that have appeared in Canadian newspapers such as the National Post, Ottawa Citizen, Toronto Sun, Windsor Star, Calgary Herald and Vancouver Sun. Charles has also appeared on radio shows across the country to discuss the Institute's research. He holds a BA in economics with a minor in business administration and is completing a Master's of Public Policy from Simon Fraser University. 

Register below to enjoy a full English breakfast, to listen to a knowledgable speaker and then ask some of those difficult questions that surround this latest tax.

Reservation deadline for changes is the Wednesday prior to the event. Walk-ins are welcome.

Here are the details:

  • Doors open at 7:00am; Breakfast starts at 7:15am and ends by 8:30am
  • The Union Club is at 805 Gordon Street, across from the Empress Hotel
  • Admission is $20.00 per person for reserved seats (cash or cheque)
  • Students (ages 14-26) with a valid student card are $10.00
  • Admission for non-reserved seats (if available) is $25.00
  • Breakfasts can be prepaid to the end of the season if you wish
  • A reserved seat MUST be paid for whether you use it or not
  • CELL Phones and Pagers are to be SILENCED as you arrive
