Remembrance Day

As we observe Remembrance Day, we invite you to join us in honouring the brave men and women who have served our country with unwavering dedication and sacrifice. This day holds profound significance, not only as a time to remember those who fought for our freedoms but also as an opportunity to reflect on the values that unite us as Canadians.

In the words of The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the Official Opposition, “Together, in the week leading up to Remembrance Day, we honour our Veterans – including the heroes who have confronted the horrors of violent combat and those who have maintained stability while serving in times of peace.”

From the trenches of World War I to the beaches of the Dieppe Raid and Normandy, and the deserts of Afghanistan, Canadian Veterans have served on missions to bring home freedom and security for innocent people around the world.

We extend our deepest, most profound thanks to all those who have served and are currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. Your vigilance has kept our nation safe. Your willingness to answer the call has been a beacon of light to those suffering in darkness. Your bravery in the face of evil has given hope to the downtrodden and won freedom for the oppressed.

This Veterans’ Week, we encourage all Canadians to wear a poppy and reflect on the inspiring legacy of our Veterans, many of whom have come to our nation’s aid in times of crisis and turmoil. Let us take this opportunity to not only remember the fallen but also to support our veterans and their families.

Thank you for your continued support and for honouring our heroes.
